Achievements of China-Africa cooperation

Cooperation between China and African countries has flourished in terms of trade, infrastructure, and medical services, among many other fields.

The first China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, which opened on Thursday in Hunan Province, is expected to foster even more opportunities for cooperation.

The three-day expo has attracted representatives from more than 50 African countries.

Launched under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, the expo is a new platform for economic and trade cooperation.

Last year, trade between China and Africa was worth 204.2 billion U.S. dollars, up 20 percent on the previous year, and China marked its 10th anniversary of being Africa's largest trading partner.
