“From Hong Kong to Beijing” screened in Beijing 101 Middle School

The CRI documentary series “From Hong Kong to Beijing” was screened in Beijing 101 Middle School, Shuangyushu Campus on June 25th. The series is made up of five episodes, each telling the story of a unique person hailing from the southern international metropolis of Hong Kong, but living in the Chinese capital of Beijing. All these stories reflect the ever-closer bond between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong over the past two decades.

About 500 teachers and students watched the series together. “The return anniversary of Hong Kong is a big event of national celebration. ‘From Hong Kong to Beijing’ portrays Hong Kongers who feel happy about their life in Beijing,” said Yao Xinbo, executive principal of Beijing 101 Middle School, Shuangyushu Campus.” A student felt that “Hong Kong people and mainlanders are like members of a big family”. The school’s vice principal commented that “I think the videos are helpful for us to get to know about Hong Kong.”
