UN chief sends warm wishes in Chinese for Spring Festival

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres sent his warm New Year wishes to the Chinese people in Chinese on Monday, the day before the Spring Festival, calling on joint efforts to build a peaceful and prosperous world.

In his message, Guterres extended his gratitude to China and Chinese people for their support to the UN.

Despite the difficulties and challenges facing the world, people can get things done by working together, he said.
