Feltman's of Coney Island is hoping to set a new Guinness World Record with a 120-pound all beef hot dog. Measured at 5 feet long and 2 feet wide, it claims to be the world's largest hot dog ever created. A restaurant in Brooklyn has tailor made a 5-foot bun to go along with the record-breaking sausage. The giant hot dog has since been cut into smaller portions and sold. All the proceeds have been donated to a charity that supports veterans. Coney Island claims itself as the birthplace of the hot dog. Every year, Nathan's, a competitor of Feltman's, puts on an eating contest to celebrate the humble sausage on a bun.[Photo:VCG]
