Sweet and sour victory: eating 117 lemons for cash prize

A worker in Yunnan Province proved he was no sucker after he downed 117 lemons to win a company contest on Monday.
Video shows the man putting away lemon wedges in a race with coworkers for the 5,000 yuan ($800) purse during their year-end party at a Kunming restaurant.
As with any race, victory comes with a price. The man, who was not named in reports said, "My lips and tongue all have blisters," "But I'm still happy."
When asked if there will be any more lemon eating in his immediate future, he said a break from citrus is in order.
He said, "Definitely not any time before Chinese New Year (on February 15), but it is hard to say after that. I like strong-tasting food."
This man would certainly offer some stiff competition for any Guinness World Record for most lemons consumed.
Ashrita Furman of the US holds the record for fastest time to peel and eat a single lemon at 8.25 seconds, while Denmark's Jim Lyngvild has the title for eating three whole lemons at 28.5 seconds.
