Classic Ukrainian and Chinese melodies are performed to celebrate the bilateral diplomatic ties

September 5, 2017 marked the 25^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ukraine. An orchestral concert was held at Beijing Concert Hall to celebrate this special occasion. The Ukrainian Radio Symphony Orchestra and a Chinese pianist Huang Zifang presented an acoustic feast for the audience.

The concert is not only to celebrate the anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties, but also aims to help people with eye diseases recover their sight. Cooperating with a Chinese charity, all the funds raised during this performance will be used for the medical expenses of about 100 patients with eye diseases.

The charity has helped over 6000 patients with cataracts regain their eyesight. In the future, the charity will also bring brightness and happiness to the countries along the Belt and Road.

The concert performance saluted the friendship between Chinese and Ukrainian people with the melodies from the two countries. Classic Chinese music played during the concert includes The Butterfly Flowers, Yellow River and Rose Rose I Love You. Well-known Ukrainian songs, A Night in the Mountains and The Sicilian Vesper were introduced to the audience. Vladimir Sheiko from Ukraine and Qiu Tianhu from Hong Kong SAR conducted the concert.

Since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties 25 years ago, China and Ukraine have enjoyed a relationship built on mutual trust. With a relationship built on "win-win cooperation" and comprehensive strategic partnerships, China and the Ukraine have achieved marvelous outcomes during the process of the Belt and Road construction.
