Horse-racing in Danba

In Danba county of Sichuan, horse-racing is a very popular sport. This year, Niexia county’s annual horse racing catches great attention. 

In Danba area, horse-racing is the competition of speed. Riders ride without saddles to reduce horses’ burden. Riders compete along an area with a length of 200 meters and a width of 3 meters. The best will win.
