A mother of three children from England recently asked her son to reject the Full Attendance Reward.
The mother, also a writer, thought that Full Attendance Award can demonize the weakest. The reason why she was so sensitive about this issue was because her elder son was suffering from cerebral palsy.
She expressed concern on the blog: 'In this family we will think of as many reasons possible to praise our children, but being lucky enough not to get sick is not one of them'.
British education department said it would ultimately be up to schools whether they issue a full attendance award.
