According to Shanghai Disneyland's official website, the theme park is promoting a limited time group service until the end of January, 2018.
The guided tour service promises several advantages, including easy entrance into the park, dedicated access to the park's resorts and entertainment venues, as well as reserved best-viewing seats for the park's performances.
Visitors who have already purchased an entrance ticket can pay an extra 2,700 yuan (over 420 USD) per person for a 3-hour guided tour for a group ranges from 3 to 8 people.
The report in the Legal Daily argues the so-called "guided tour service" is literally a "queue-jumping priority."
A journalist with the Legal Daily went as part of an 8-person group, which was given direct access to an entertainment facility via the resort's exit, while other visitors were not allowed to come in until the group has been well-seated.
The estimated waiting time for the attraction was 2 hours and 40 minutes, reports the Legal Daily.
"Without any advanced notice, sacrificing the interests of ordinary tourists to meet the special requirements of VIP tourists for profits is at risk of violating service contract for the park's tickets," said Zhong Gang, an associate professor from East China University of Political Science and Law.
