I want to withdraw some money. 我想取点钱。(wo3 xiang3 qu3 dian3 qian2) How much? 取多少钱?(qu3 duō shao qian2) Can I transfer money? 我能转帐吗?(wo3 neng2 zhuan3 zhang4 ma?) I lost my bank card. 我的银行卡丢了(wo3 de yin2hang2 ka3 diu1 le.)。All in today’s Chinese Studio.

Cam: Okay, first thing first. I need to withdraw some money from the bank. So how do I ask that?
YJ: You can say我想取点钱。(wo3 xiang3 qu3 dian3 qian2)
Cam: 我想取点钱。(wo3 xiang3 qu3 dian3 qian2)
YJ: 我(wo3) means I.
Cam: 我(wo3)
YJ: 想, x-i-a-n-g, the third tone, means want to.
Cam: 想 (xiang3)
YJ: 取 (qu3), q-u, the third tone. Here it means withdraw.
Cam: 取 (qu3)
YJ: dian is short for yi dian, means some. Actually we’ve mentioned it several times.
Cam: right. Dian.
YJ: 钱(qian2), money.
Cam: 钱(qian2)
YJ: 我想取点钱。(wo3 xiang3 qu3 dian3 qian2) I want to withdraw some money.

Conversation 1:
YJ: Of course, you need to give more information. Generally the teller will ask you : How much ? 取多少钱?(qu3 duo2shao qian2)
Cam: 取多少钱?(qu3 duō shao qian2)
YJ: 取(qu3),withdraw, 多少( duō shao ), how much?
Cam: 多少( duo2shao)
YJ: 钱 (qian2), money.
Cam: 钱 (qian2)

Cam: 取多少钱?(qu3 duō shao qian2) How much money would you like to withdraw?
YJ: or just 取多少?(qu3 duo1 shao3 ) for short. The answer could simply be a number, or a number plus 钱 (qian2) For instance, if you want to get 1,000 yuan, you can say 一千块 (yi4 qian1 kuai4).

YJ: 我能转帐吗?(wo3 neng2 zhuan3 zhang4 ma?)
Cam: 能(neng2), means can, right?
YJ: Yes. And 转帐 (zhuan3 zhang4) is to transfer money from one bank account to another.

YJ: 我的银行卡丢了(wo3 de yin2hang2 ka3 diu1 le.)。I'm sorry to hear that, but you can say 我的银行卡丢了。I lost my bank card.
Cam: 我的银行卡丢了(wo3 de yin2hang2 ka3 diu1 le).
YJ: 我的(wo3 de) means mine.
Cam: 我的(wo3 de)
YJ: 银行卡 (yin2hang2 ka3), bank card.
