Snacks come to life on paper
A decoration art and design student named Xu Yaxin, from Wuhan Textile University, has recently painted a series of sketches(素描) focusing on traditional breakfast(早餐) menu items in Wuhan, Hubei province. Using colored pencils(彩铅) and watercolors(水彩), Xu has made the local snacks(小吃) come to life on paper, including re gan mian (hot and dry noodles), tofu skin, dumplings and deep fried bread sticks.
