Massive artificial island under construction in Hainan

Nanhai Pearl Artificial Island, an artificial resort island under construction off the coast in Haikou City, Hainan Province, is illuminated with floodlights. The tourism project consists of a circular body of land, in the shape of yin-yang symbol and about 266 hectares in size, with a bridge linking with the shore.
