African student fits in well with Shenyang life
Sylvester Kangwa from Zambia, a student studying a finance major at Shenyang Normal University, performs Song-and-Dance Duet (Er Ren Zhuan) in Shenyang City, Northeast China’s Liaoning Province. After studying and living in China for three years, Kangwa has fully integrated into his local community, speaking the local dialect perfectly and also performing the folk dance and song. The performance usually consists of two people, a man and a woman. They sing as well as dance, using folded fans or red square handkerchiefs (which are twirled along as a song is performed) during the dancing portion. [Photo: China News Service/Yu Haiyang]
