The beautiful sea of sansha
On July 24th, 2012, Sansha in Hainan province became the newest city in the South China Sea, with jurisdiction over the Xisha, Zhongsha, Nansha Islands and about 2 million square kilometers of the sea around them. It is the prefecture-level city with the largest sea area, the smallest land area, and the smallest population in China. Sansha has a warm climate, charming islands, sincere fisherfolk, and exquisite maritime scenery, such as that found at Sansha Yongxing island, January 23rd, 2013. [Photo: Chinanews.com]
