Miao people celebrate traditional fish killing festival

Every year, the people of the Miao ethnic group, who live in Fuquan, Guizhou Province, catch fish and pray for a good harvest and fortune in the upcoming year. After a grand ceremony, a special drug is poured into the river to bring the fish to the surface. The hunters then wade into the river and harpoon the fish, attaching their catch to their waist.
