Praying for the moon

Villagers from far and wide come together in Jiujiang, China’s Jiangxi Province on the Moon Festival, October 4, 2017 to build a 6-meter-high tower made up of over 4,000 red bricks to honor Wen Tianxiang, a scholar who lived 700 years ago. It took them three days to complete in time for the ceremony which involves burning the tower to the ground, which took just three hours. [Photo: VCG]
