Brazilian wins Qiantang River bore competition

Brazil's team, Eneko Acera and Natxo Gonzale, were victorious in this year's Qiantang River surfing contest in Hangzhou,beating Australian competitors Dean Morrison and Koby Abberton. The event pits teams of surfers against each other as they ride a tidal bore or river wave. The contest, which concluded Saturday, is the world's first legit surf contest held on a tidal bore. The Qiantang River tidal bore is one of world's three strongest tidal events, along with the Amazon in South America and the Ganges in India. [Photo: Chinanews.com]
