Chinese, U.S. militaries hold joint drills on relief and rescue

Chinese and American soldiers practice during joint drills on humanitarian relief and disaster rescue on November 18th, 2017 in Portland, the US state of Oregon. Drills of the day included "rubble pile" and "river crossing," two scenes in which soldiers tried rescuing people from disaster simulations. Participants of the drills come from the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Southern Theater Command and the US Army Pacific and its Coast Guards.
