Automatic cooks at college take six minutes to cook a dish

A staff member poured raw tomatoes into the pot of an "automatic cook" in the kitchen of a college canteen in Tianjin, north China, on November 28. The college introduced three of the devices to satisfy the appetites of teachers and students. These cooks are pots controlled by computers. It takes just six minutes to stir and finish a pot of scrambled eggs with tomatoes. The machines not only reduce the manpower cost, but also make food healthier and more hygienic. It is said that the college plans to invest in about 20 more automatic cooks in the future. [Photo: IC]
