University in Hangzhou develops an app to track class attendance

Hangzhou Dianzi University in Zhejiang Province has developed software that automatically records the class attendance of its students. It was first put to use at the start of the semester in February and can be seen in operation in this photo taken on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. A teacher can use the software to do a roll call, and absent students will get an automated reminder call from the system.
