Two photos show the view of buildings in Xinjiekou Commercial Circles, in Nanjing, before and after the lights were switched off. Landmarks across China went dark, joining millions of people from over 180 countries in marking Earth Hour by turning off lights from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. local time on March 30, in a bid to save energy, and to act against climate change.
