China's State Grid helps Brazil villagers move out of poverty

The State Grid Corporation of China has committed to finish building a gigantic transmission line for the Belo Monde hydroelectric dam in Brazil in 2019 and to begin operating the power line in 2020. The company has also been shouldering its social responsibility to help communities living alongside the construction route. An example of this is the company's assistance program in the Quilombo region that has helped local residents to move out of poverty and enjoy a better life.
