Boy dies when slammed by train

An Eritrean man allegedly pushed a boy and his mother in front of a high-speed train at Frankfurt railway station in Germany, on Monday morning, July 29, 2019. The eight-year-old boy was hit by a high-speed inter-city train and died instantly. His mother survived the incident but has sustained injuries and was taken to hospital. Six platforms remained closed for several hours. The suspect was chased and caught by passers-by. The 40-year-old was arrested, facing a murder inquiry. The motive is unclear. [Photo: IC]
