An unlawfully assembled crowd of black-clad participants moved to block the tunnel, after launching quick attacks on several locations all the way south from Tai Po.

The tunnel, the busiest of the three major cross-harbor tunnels in Hong Kong, was blocked by the radicals five times in a week.
