Jing Wong's fantasy action film to hit theatres before national day holiday

Prolific filmmaker Jing Wong of Hong Kong is now showcasing his talent with a new fantasy movie called The Golden Monk.

The story centers on a monk who has the ability to control monsters, and who is seeking his true fairy love.

The lead role is played by Zheng Kai. At a recent promotional event, Zheng said that his character is funny and optimistic, but the process of shooting action scenes made him feel quite dizzy from "looping the loop" numerous times.

Actress Zhang Yuqi also stars as part of a duo that team up as professional monster controllers.

The Golden Monk is due to hit theatres on September 30th.
