Chinese peacekeepers in training ahead of UN mission in Mali

A fifth contingent of Chinese peacekeepers has been conducting intense military training before it departs for Mali in mid-May, to join the United Nations' peacekeeping mission in the landlocked west African country.
The training at a base of the People's Liberation Army's Northern Theater Command, tests the peacekeepers' ability to respond to emergencies such as surprise attacks.
