Two amazing rescues from floods in southern China
A man is rescued by his coworker in Guangxi, then a mother and daughter survive being swept away by raging flood waters in Guizhou Province after a quick-thinking driver runs his car into the rushing water- stopping them from being swept away by the current.
As of Tuesday morning, the rainy season has killed 56 people, with 22 people still missing, across 11 provinces and regions, according to the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Direct economic losses are estimated at more than 25.3 billion yuan (US $3.72 billion).
