Enjoy Chengdu: Tea served by a kung fu wielding long spout teapot server?!
This is a thing in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The invention of the long spout teapot dates back to the Three Kingdoms period (AD 220-280) and was designed so tea servers could pour hot water from a distance, thus preventing any assassination attempts on Liu Bei, ruler of the Shu Kingdom, while they poured his tea.
Today, it is a special performance in Chengdu tea houses, and incorporates some furiously epic kung fu moves into the simple act of pouring hot water.
