Meter-long knife used to create hair-thin noodles
Man cuts noodles so fine their like an angel’s hair, but with a meter-long knife.
This chef in Kaifeng, central China’s Henan Province, is known not only for the good taste and texture of his noodles, but also how he cuts them. Using a meter-long, five centimeter-wide blade, he cuts piles of dough ranging from just 0.1 to 0.3 millimeters thick.
The city of Kaifeng is known for its food. The city was once China’s capital in the Song Dynasty, and today offers a wide range of traditional food specialties. Many tourists from all over China and the world travel to the city to taste the various special cuisines that the city has to offer.
