China Inside Out: Sing 'Red Songs'

Mark H. Levine, from the US, has been a foreign expert on sociology at the Minzu University of China since 2007. As a singer of country music as well, he loves performing Chinese songs, especially the so called patriotic "red songs", such as "Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China".

In an exclusive interview with China Plus, Mark says that one thing people in China can see more clearly is that real changes and gains are not made by any individual. They are made by the Communist Party, which unites many people across all walks of life. So, Mark doesn't just sing "red songs", he believes in their message too.
