Young immigrants in the U.S. lobby to remain
Young illegal immigrants in the US are putting on a public push ahead of March 5, 2018, which is when the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program expires. There are 690,000 young people covered under DACA at the moment, and are now trying to convince lawmakers to create legislation to allow the so-called "Dreamers" to remain in the United States. Many of them have only ever known the US as their home, but would be sent back to a country they may have only lived in for a short time.
