President Xi's SCO time

On June 6, Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed visiting Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov in Beijing with a brand new welcoming ceremony, which raised the curtain of the "Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) time".

Jeenbekov was among the leaders of the SCO countries who came to China for the 18th summit. It was the first such summit since the organization's expansion in June 2017 when India and Pakistan joined as full members.
