Newly-designed sleeper trains put into service for Chunyun

The berth of a newly-designed CRH high-speed sleeper train in Shanghai, photographed on February 7, 2018. Different from the traditional sleeper trains with their three-level berths with the aisle on one side, the newly-designed sleepers are equipped with two-level berths on both sides of the aisle. Each berth is designed like an independent compartment with tea table, power socket, lights, and independent air conditioning.
