Watermelon-themed games are held at a residential community in Nantong, Jiangsu Province on August 7, 2018 to celebrate Autumn Begins. Dozens of people have taken part in ring toss, as well as watermelon carrying, eating and carving. Autumn Begins is one of 24 Chinese solar terms. It usually falls on August 7th or 8th to mark the beginning of autumn. People in Jiangsu use the occasion as their last chance to eat watermelons, because local tradition suggests watermelons will be too cold for their digestive system after this day. [Photo: IC]
