Rime ice and fog creates winter wonderland in NE China

Rime Island is a small islet in the Songhua River, one of the primary rivers flowing through the Northeastern China Plain. The islet gets its name for its best rime ice scenery in China. The rime ice is one of the four natural wonders in China that can only appear in a moist and freezing place. The scenery on Rime Island is a soft rime which can be easily spotted because it evenly sticks around the branches. The permeating fog and the rime icicles create a natural wonderland for visitors.
