World Population Day: records high

A karate demonstration is performed by 3,973 people on Oct. 23, 2016, in Japan's Naha. The performance was recognized as the largest mass karate demonstration by Guinness World Records. World Population Day falls on July 11th every year. It was first observed on 11 July 1987, when the world population reached 5 billion.
