Kumari Puja Festival celebrated in Nepal

Over 100 young Nepali girls dressed up in traditional costumes and wore special make up to celebrate the Kumari Puja Festival in Katmandu on Tuesday. The event is a Hindu religious tradition involving the worshipping of a goddess. The word Kumari means "princess." People send gifts to the living goddess and pray for good luck and health during the ceremony. [Photos: IC]
