World Food Day is celebrated every year around the world on October 16 in honor of the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN in 1945. Every year, it's observed in over 150 countries and regions, raising concerns of the issues behind poverty and hunger. This year's theme is "our actions are our future."
