Giant pumpkin catches spotlight at contest

The largest pumpkin at the 46th Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh Off weighed 2,175 pounds and gained the top prize on Monday. Owner Leonardo Urena, 51, from Napa, California, has been cultivating pumpkins as a hobby since 2000. He also won the Half Moon Bay contest in 2011. Urena's pumpkin is the second largest in the contest's history. The largest one was from Washington State and weighed nearly 2,400 pounds. It won the prize in Half Moon Bay in 2017. [Photo: IC]
