To mark both occasions, a conference was held on Tuesday at the Zappeion Palace in Athens to deepen mutual understanding between China and Greece, and to boost the development of tourism between the two countries.

Attendees witnessed a ceremony to celebrate the building of a global comprehensive cooperative tourism partnership. During the event, Elena Kountoura, Greece's minister of tourism, said she expects to see closer cooperation between Greece and China.
