A veterinarian examines the horse, Vesuve de Brekka, given by French President Emmanuel Macron to Chinese President Xi Jinping as a national gift during his January visit to China. The horse arrived in Beijing by plane on January 4. It passed the strict inspection of the Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and began a 30-day quarantine.
