Smart robot helps keep trains running during Spring Festival rush

An autonomous robot named Chengcheng starts patrols at the Jianmen Pass substation for the Xi'an-Chengdu railway line on February 8, 2018. The 1.1-meter tall robot, pictured here while on duty this Thursday, is equipped with high tech navigation, imaging, and heat sensors that allow it spot potential problems and raise an alert with its human handlers.
