Jiuzhai Valley reopens to visitors following last year's earthquake

The first group of tourists has visited the Jiuzhai Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site after it was closed on August 8, 2017 following a magnitude 7 earthquake. The scenic spot in China's Sichuan Province reopened on March 8, 2018 after a seven-month long restoration. Jiuzhai Valley in Jiuzhaigou National Park is located in the mountains on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
