Tea craftspeople make Mingqian tea in East China

Aerial photo taken on April 4, 2018 shows tea farmers picking tea leaves in Maoping Village of Xinchang County, east China's Zhejiang Province. Farmers are busy in harvesting tea leaves ahead of the Qingming Festival to produce the Mingqian (literally "pre-Qingming") tea, made from the very first tea sprouts in spring and considered to be of high quality. The annual trading amount of Dafo Longjing Tea has reached over 2000 tons with the trading volume reaching over 1.6 billion yuan (253.8 million U.S. dollars) by March 31, 2018.
