China's research icebreaker Snow Dragon set sail from Shanghai on Friday, November 2, 2018, on China's 35th Antarctic expedition. The ship's crew of 351 hail from more than 80 companies and organizations. The icebreaker will sail to Australia before arriving at Zhongshan Station in Antarctica. It will then head to New Zealand to collect new crew members. The team will work on projects on the Ross and Amundsen seas, before heading to the Port of Hobart in southern Australia to resupply. The icebreaker will then heading to the Davis Sea, Prydz Bay, and finally back to Zhongshan Station. The ship is expected back in Shanghai in April next year. [Photo: Xinhua]
