Stunning natural lights illuminate sky in NW China

A series of marvelous light pillars were spotted on Thursday in Chaka town, Qinghai Province, attracting many photographers to capture this rare scene. A light pillar is an atmospheric optical phenomenon which is created by the reflection of light from numerous tiny ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere, which can only happen in extremely cold temperatures.
