The gold and silver commemorative coins issued by the China's central bank to celebrate the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up were officially made available for exchange from December 28, 2018. On the same day, a commemorative note with a face value of 50 yuan was also issued to mark the 70th anniversary of the issuance of Renminbi (RMB).
