3/6
Visitors are attracted by the wintersweet flowers blooming in Wofo Temple in rural Beijing. Chinese people appreciate the flower, considering it to have a spirit of perseverance, since the small yellow flower with elegant fragrance blooms in later winter and survives despite cold winds and snow. The Wofo Temple is a popular site for wintersweet sightseeing as well as red leaves in autumn and peach blossoms in spring. Located on Fragrant Hills in northwest rural Beijing, the temple has a variety of plants and beautiful scenery that attracts visitors all year round. The temple gets its name for a large lying Buddha sculpture created in the year 1321. [Photo: IC]
