Liu Xiuhua and Wei Lian, a couple in Shandong Province, east China, are livestreaming their process of making Bubugao, a traditional local desert made of flour and dates. The traditional tower-shaped desert carries the meaning of wishing for success and happiness step by step, and is usually served when people get married, give birth, get promoted, on holidays and birthdays. Now, the couple have cashed in by using livestreaming to share their talented dessert making with people outside of Shandong Province. Followers from their livestreams have already placed orders for the couple's Bubugao dessert online. [Photo: VCG]
