One teacher for 20 years at only kindergarten in village

​Han Huajun is with her student in the classroom in Beidaogou Village, in east China's Shandong Province, April 30, 2019. Han has been the only teacher at the village's only kindergarten for the past 20 years. Most parents here move to big cities for work, leaving their children behind with relatives. When they are between three and seven years old, the children get enrolled at the kindergarten to receive their preschool education. The school is a ten square meter bungalow. Han teaches them traditional Chinese poems and arithmetic. She says she can barely remember the number of children she has taught in the past two decades. She adds that every time her former students come back to visit her, it's a heart-warming moment. [Photo: IC]
